Agustín Diego Lew**: A young, ambitious student and AMIA staff member, whose dreams ended in tragedy.
Lew Agustin Diego (Age: 21). Killed in an antisemitic attack in Buenos Aires, Argentina
Agustín Diego Lew, 21, was an Economic Sciences student at UADE and the youngest member of the Burials Department staff at AMIA. Known for his creativity, seriousness, and wit, Agustín had a love for Argentinos Juniors, his family, and a wide circle of friends. Recently, he had enjoyed traveling to the U.S., exploring New York and New Orleans, and dreamt of future travels across Europe and possibly Israel. On the tragic day of July 18, 1994, he was at work in the Burials Office when the car bomb detonated at the AMIA building, claiming the lives of everyone present for assistance, including his own. His mother, Norma, also an AMIA employee, survived the attack with serious injuries and was later discharged from Mitre Hospital.
