Mousa Yaish al-Nahari, a father of eight and a prominent figure in Yemen's Jewish community, tragically lost his life in Raida, Yemen. Al-Nahari was confronted and fatally shot by Abdul-Aziz Yahya al-Abdi, a former air force pilot, after being told to "accept Islam’s message." Despite his contributions to his community and his peaceful life, al-Nahari became a victim of religious extremism.
